About five years ago, I found a Walgreens that still had a whole rack of 126 film - stupidly I only bought one roll there. After getting it developed I was told that 126 film had been discontinued. At the time I thought that I'd never be able to use the beloved Instamatic X-35 again.
Ah, but no more must it collect dust in a box as a useless artifact of a better, more photographer friendly time.
The 126 cartridge cameras are without a doubt the best point and shoot cameras ever made, the photographs I've made with them easily compare to the quality of a good 35mm SLR - and so long as you forget about such things as knowing how your picture will look before you take, and that the 126 format shoots only "square" pictures, it's just as good. Maybe even better when you're in a situation where you don't have time to think about f stops and shutter speeds, or even to focus the lens.
Now that I know Solaris makes 126 film, my only question is: where can I find Magi-Cubes for this thing?
