Thumbs up

True, some of the groups can get up to 40 vehicles long.
But there are so many trails down there that you can do runs on your own when the Easter Safari groups are doing something different.
When I was down there this spring I went up Onion Creek (easy) and didn't pass one other vehicle, and this was on "Big Saturday".

Plus it can be fun to go on a run with 40 other vehicles, not only do you get to see people ranging from beginner to expert do an obstacle but you get to see all kinds of vehicles with all kinds of mods.
Just park your Xterra in line and and treat it like a learning experience, discuss which line you'll take and how that will differ from a line that another 4x4 owner will take and why. And when your time comes up show everybody what an Xterra can do.

Easter Safari is a major event, just being a part of it is half the fun.
