i dont know if u can do the same with ur car since its a different model engine. mines a 2.0l 1997 cubic inches, and a 5-speed manual, but u should still check out some of the chrystler engines, it'll be a lot easier to find.

yep the dohc 2.0 that goes is in the neon is called the 420a when its sued in the eclpise...its in the nonturbo 2ng gens (with the expection fo the nonturbo spyder, which got a n/a 4g63) while it may be cheaper to buy the neon version of the motor (4dre or4dfe) the knock sensor's are in differnt places and they have more restrictive heads and its just not cool, might even have wierd motor mounts (to fit the neon not an eclipse) honestly, i would avoid these motors since they are know to have weak head gaskets and i would go for a n/a 4g63...you could later on do a real turbo conversion if you wanted (ecu, pistons, rods) and would have a MUCH more trustworthy motor
