Excellent question! The answer is: no, not exactly.
It will be pretty close, but not perfect. There are some spots on my red NSX where I touched it up with the red acrylic, and there is a difference, but you can only see it side-by-side. I think you can remedy this with some polishing, so that there won't be edges where the paint changes color, but I'm afraid I wouldn't rely on it for a big fix.
