taking the bulbs out is just easy as 1 2 3
don't disconnect the bulb until you release it.

now to release the bulb, grab and release the lock. you have to rotate it counter clockwise like you're unscrewing it. it should click after 45 degrees of turning. then the bulb comes right out. take note: you don't turn the bulb. you turn the latch that holds it in.
