Is it bad for the engine to start in 2nd gear? I just hope i didn'y do any serious damage.

i couldn't tell you if it's bad for the engine or not.... i have launched in second in rain and such, i don't think it's bad... i think you rode the clutch to long or something... i have not had that problem(smell) after starting in second gear.... (have in first a couple times
)
