the stub axle attaches to the hub at one end and an intermediate shaft on the other for the left side

if you're not sure, get a manual or someone more experienced.

it's rather simple, as you just insert a flathead screwdriver in between the cv joint and intermediate shaft and pry the two apart, as they're held together with a ring clip on the stub axle.

if you cant figure out where the two meet, unbolt the intermediate shaft's support bracket, and separate the mid shaft from the diff instead. you MAY have enough play in the cv joint to do this, and then again, you may not.
