There's no way to adjust it really... but you don't have to replace the entire throttle body. If you can get ahold of a TPS, you can just remove the old one and put the new one in.
They are attatched to the throttle body by some shear screws, and once those screws are tightened at the factory, the heads of the screws are sheared off. So, in order to remove the old one, you have to take a dremel tool with a cutting disc and cut slots in the top of the screws and then use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screws...
Sorry, I don't know what could be causing your TPS problems...
