When the engine is cold, baby it. Once it reaches FULL operating temperature, you can rev it all day, every day. That engine is bulletproof in stock configuration. Unless you're gonna play around with forced induction, forget the internal mods or the block guard or any of that shizzit. The rev limiter will flip you off before you hurt the engine, although it can't help if you mechanically overrev the engine by shoving it into second gear at high speed or something like that. By the way, power peaks at 7200 RPM on that (in stock form). Bouncing it off the rev limiter will not make you any faster.
