Bollocks! The transmission has received bad press for shifting characteristics but is NOT known for failure. There is a TSB regarding slow shifting and engagement. Something is very wrong if you have been through two transmissions. I know several people in early LS's that are working on or OVER 100K miles with NO driveline failures. What is failure? Is the vehicle towing a boat or something? Is the driver slamming it into park while moving or otherwise abusing the tranny?
