240sx's are expensive to insure. the celica will have a waranty, it will be easy and reliable.

a tranny swap is not that hard at all. all you need are the parts and the know how to install it, if not about $1000 for labor to install it.

the GT can be better than the GTS. it has a lower CR and better powerband. its a much better car to turbo and can make more power and be more reliable.

1.) the 240sx isn't under sport car insurance (i'm almost positive on this cuz it isn't in my insurance agent) so it would be cheaper to insure than the GT which is
2.) a tranny swap is NOT that easy on newer model cars... i'm not sure about the celica but we swapped my friend's 2.5 RS from auto to manual and it was all sorts fucked up... everything inside the car is related to the planetary gears so taking those away fucks up the programmed timing in the ECU (i dunno if the celica has an ECU stock or not i'm not big on toyota.. i'm looking into them though) but anyways it gets all sorts fucked up... get it done professionally *we did get the manual tranny to work though in the end *
3.) about the GT being able to be better than the GTS i completely agree.. i'm glad you put that out there for him so he doesn't think that lil S determines everything
4.) unfortuneately once you put aftermarket parts on your car... you lose your warrenty... that shit sucks i learned it the hard way... but that's ok.. do whatever you want to. this is your car and your future.. mold it the way you see fit
