I disagree, a curbside model is supposed to be viewed like a car at the curbside, no open panels but there can be an engine visible, like in this one. Viewed from a slight distance, not up close under a magnifying glass. It's a curbside kit, there is no "real" engine detail, and no way to easily view it anyway. I would allow it in curbside competition, what little you see of the engine won't be enough to sway any judge's voting unless it's rigged.
