The *ZZ-FE engine has been turbocharged before. May not have been in a Corolla per se, but I know that it's been turbocharged in the Celica, MR-S, and Matrix. Over the past several months, there have been kits under R&D. You could likely take advantage of one of these kits to apply to your Corolla.

Regarding your second question; if you are referring to the AE101 as the 7th gen, the easiest way to do it is going with a 4A-GZE swap, then converting from supercharger to turbo. Some have even worked with the original 4A-FE or 7A-FE and built from there.
