If anyone has any advice on this please tell me... also i dont know how strong a 4.6l mustang motor is, so do you think it could hold 8psi daily and every once ina while run at 12 with out having problems...
Turbos, as you may know make an ungodly amount of power at low psis. 8psis can net you almost 500/500 on stock engine. THAT is by no means safe. You will have to forge the engine to sustain the power and boost. Ive heard of plenty of people losing their engines on turbos because theyre bottom end/internals couldnt hold up. Get a safe tune, a very safe tune and build your motor so you can crank the boost up higher(8-16psi) and so that it wont give up on you. No doubt the 4.6 can take the power, but the question is for How long can it take the power? And the answer to that is, Not very long if you go out and take a chance. Just play it safe and build your engine.
