A long-term (back burner) diecast project.

This is a Danbury Mint 1965 Pontiac GTO, which I got in a trade deal a couple years ago. When I got the car, the chrome parts like the window trim were coming off and a previous owner had used contact cement to try and "repair" things. I decide to strip the car down and repaint the body. The original Iris Mist paint was sandblasted off and this is how it sits. I have a can of Pontiac Blue Charcoal mixed up and just need to get the bodywork done before I start shooting any paint. I learned that sandblasting was a bit too abrasive on the relatively soft metal body and now have to sand and probably fill a few imperfections before I can get the color on. I think it'll look nice once the new paint is on. There will be lots of parts to reattach as well! I need to get back on this project!
