Generational differences.
I'm occasionally itched by the fact that people here would be better off molding clay pots than making body kits, but time is time, and you can't change time.
I love doing box-stock builds because I like to use the parts that I paid for. Luckily, I'll sometimes run across a kit that has a 2-in-1 option for street or show.
I agree with your view on keeping older cars tuned to their proper genre. Muscle cars, in my opinion, look great with torque thrusts and a beefy supercharger sticking out of the hood. But then again, muscle car builds on here are pretty rare, and when they're done, they're done right.
