I think Bilstein is vaporware stateside. Additionally, I read that a Bilstein rep told a G owner that the Euro Primera replacements wouldn't work right in the G anyway. He may have been blowing smoke, but I have to wonder if this is an indication that Bilstein would invalidate their warranty if the Primera replacements were used in this application.
The consensus is that the KYB GR-2 is the best readily available non-adjustable replacement on the G in terms of a balance between ride comfort and handling. Of course, you *could* go adjustable and do GAB or KYB AGX, but I think ride comfort would suffer even on the softest setting, at least when new, depending on whether you're riding on stock springs or lowered aftermarkets. Depending on the generation of your G, Koni only works on the rear axle after modification and is usually reviewed as too stiff for a daily driver. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on your tolerance for ride severity.
There's a great article on this very subject at

although I think the writer is overly optimistic about Bilstein availability and appropriateness to the application. I'd love to be proven wrong, though! Good luck with whatever you're able to find...and if you *do* find Bilsteins please spill the beans!
