well as the saying goes "how fast do you wanna go?... how much money you got." (or something to that effect
) you can make the car as fast as you got money for, you wanna hit 10's with the 6cyl with no nitrous and still be street legal you can, it'll cost you a shit load but it's possible, unless you want to do an engine swap, I suggest looking for a new intake, headers (I don't know if they even make them for the 6 cyl.???), get a chip burnt, taller gears, and better exhaust (as you already said) get a port and polish job done on the heads, aftermarket ignition, a supercharger or a turbo, the list goes on and on. you may have a little more trouble finding things for yours 'cause it's the 3.8L instead of the 350 but I'm sure the parts are out there. other things you might try that are free are taking out spare tire/ jack big stereo (amp, sub etc.) I picked up .5 sec and 4 mph at the track just by taking out the spare tire/jack, backseat, and sub. that's if you don't mind driving a gutted car to the track. other than that good hooking tires (ie. slicks or drag radials), and suspension, and as Yogs said practice, cause you can have all the power in the world but if you can't control it you'll lose everytime. have fun. peace -Firebird
