Brake Squeak
I've a 99 Tahoe. Replaced the front pads approx 20k ago with Bendix from AutoZone...good service with no squeaks to date. The leading and trailing edge of each pad is chamfered to eliminate sharp pad edges which sometimes squeak.
You may have some luck using a file to lightly chamfer the edges of your existing pads. However, if you do this, take into consideration the risk of breathing asbestos dust.
