With the money invested to make a turbo work you could buy a nice engine and hook it up to get more hp and torque than possible with the turbocharged dx, moneywise. You can get Greddy turbo kits for $1600, but to make it work on a dx costs a lot more. Your engine will run lean starting just under a couple lbs of boost so you'll need new injectors, a larger fuel pump, a fuel modulator, air/fuel guage, etc... the cost really adds up. My friend bought a $1600 Greddy kit for his EX and has spent over $5000 in mods and dynoruns/installs to get it near-perfectly tuned and reliable, and he gets 205 hp 204 ft lbs of torque at the wheels, so probably 230hp at the flywheel. Thats about $7 grand for 100 horsepower. Just get an engine swap... n/a is the most reliable horsepower.
