You'll have plenty of room for that. With the 1 1/2" springs I've still got about 6 1/4" ground clearance and 1 1/4" tire-to-fender clearance. Without the 1 1/2" springs I'd have big wheels with 3" between the tire and fender and 8" between the ground and car. That'd be pretty funky. You could always adjust the tire size up a little to compensate for the tire/fender gap but it doesn't do anything for the ground gap. Springs look much better though. So I'd either stick with 17s and slightly larger tires (which would look good like a factory 2000+) and save some good ride, or go all out, screw the ride, and throw on some springs with 18s and small tires. I don't have to drive my '96 all the time because I have the '97 with 16s and a good ride, so it was an easy decision for me. If I had to drive the car everyday I don't know if I would have sacraficed the ride or not. Hard to say.
