I don't think it has anything to do with camber or detailing etc. It has to do with the basics of modeling that have been mentioned, like no visible glue, paint lines are straight, paint is smooth, parts are put on correct and straight etc. A box stock model can be built clean and a fully detailed model can be built clean if the basic skills have been mastered.
