Well, answer this then!

Here is my story.

I bought a d16y8 (96-00 Ex) cylinder head.

I just finished taking it apart, and found the camshaft bearings to have a good amount of scratches on them. I can feel the scratches if I run my finger nail over them.

The place on the head where the cam bearings touch seem to be scratched much less.

I have no reference to what the bearings should look like.....is that too much damage?

I can post pics if anyone would like to see what I am talking about.

I am getting the runout on the bearings checked soon, and the lobes are still in good shape.

One more thing, I did find some metal shavings in the oil passage of the rocker shafts.
