If it is OBD1 as mentioned - that means the motor is 1992-1995... Ive never been good at math, but im sure those years are BEFORE 1997.

Your state has the absolute stictest policies when it comes to emissions and legallity of "swapping" - of which you need to provide paperwork to get a sticker to prove its legal... you will be denied.
