Car and Driver tested it out at an unofficial (had to slow down due to weather conditions) 223 MPH. Undoubtedly, it can go faster, but yes, the street version will be governed at this speed. Also, with the poll; you left out the new Ferrari Enzo (the S7's only competition, in my opinion). The McLaren F1 which did the 3.4sec 0-60 is no longer street-legal since it can't pass emissions, so the crown belongs to either the Enzo, or the S7 both doing 3.3 in the 0-60. However, the Enzo was admitted to being tested on a slope which obviously helped the time. In defense of the V-12 though, the Enzo does 100MPH in 6.6 (with or without help of a slope), and the S7 pulls 100MPH in 7.6 seconds. The best one of the bunch, though is in fact the Saleen S7 since there is absolutely NOTHING that comes even close to a car that has a flat torque response...!
