    badbrakes,

    i have a 1990 corolla.
i read one of your posts concerning problems with the fan.
when I switch the ignition key to 'on' the fan comes on without starting the car. It stays on after the car is started until the key is switched to 'off'.

in your post you said you had the same prob and it was "the cooling fan switch (or some say sensor)" not the 'fan relay'.
i thought they were the same thing, duh!
is the 'cooling fan switch' the same as the 'coolant temperature sensor' with a different name?
    thanks
    nic
