Hi GJ, I believe that you may have the infamous brake light assy short but recommend to look up that code on Google for your year/model. I would definitely first take it too an AutoZone or similar place that lets you borrow the code reader and read and give them the codes to know if it is the short in the rear taillight connection b4 I would tackle that. If it happens to be it, here are the instructions on the cheaper/cheapest fix if you are handy with repairs such as these:

You may also have a wet floor under the front pasenger seat carpet where a wire harness sits in an even lower (where any water settles) channel and the coonections in that harness once wet rust out. If it is wet the water is coming from a missing drain hose off your firewall. Call me if so for repairing that.

Call me at my cell if you need further assistance. 619-890-2118 (Pacific time zone). Good luck, Corey.

Hi - I have a 2003 Montana that the cruise control is not working. The brake lights are all working and the pedal switch is functioning. I do have the Service Traction light on when I start the engine and the code I get is B1214. Are they related and how can I repair this? Thanks - Greg
