Yes, I grow a small garden in the summer. I do ok if the weather co-operates.
I have a problem with cucumber beetles with the pickling cucumbers I've been growing the last few years. They make lots of cucumbers but the beetles kill the vines after a coupla months. This year I'm going to grow some cucumbers that are resistant to the beeltes but they won't grow as many cucumbers in a short time but maybe I'll come out ahead with a longer season.
I get my seed from Gurney's.
I like bread & butter pickles in potato salad, tuna salad etc.

I just got my 90 year old Nanna's recipe for bread and butter pickles, was planning to can a bunch up next summer but the thought of pickled cauliflower just turns my stomach. Do you do much vegetable gardening? I'm looking for some new ideas on what to plant this spring.
