Whats your opinion?

I had this posted in New categories and forums for our message board, and grandprix92 told me I should post it here, so here it is>I think there should be an entertainment section, with a movie forum, music forum, book/mag forum, sports forum, you can even move the tv forum here. What does everyone think?

I'm sorry, but I think I could cut your post count in half if I deleted all your posts trying to gain enough support for this "entertainment forum". My stance is already made several elsewheres.

Automotiveforums is about,well,cars.There's a fairly modest OT section as a side dish,but you can't really expect Igor to run the bandwidth necessary to support a whole smorgasbord of general interest forums as well.If you want to talk seriously about those topics,there are plenty of entertainment-based forums out there.It's just not AF's core business.:)

Just my 2 cents. I think cars and entertainment go hand in hand. This would be a place to talk about tv shows or movies that had sweet cars in them or even if they didnt have cars in them you could talk about them. Maybe you want to talk about what hot new pimped out car a celebrity is driving or a new song you just heard while crusing around town. Whatever this would be the place to talk about it.

while it could be a good idea, i just dont think people would use it enough to make creating a new forum necessary, not to mention worthwhile.

AUTOMOTIVEforums.com. if an entertainment section was put in, it would get way too OT from cars that it wouldn't even belong here any more. you want cars, come here. you want entertainment, go elsewhere. is this REALLY worth all the effort you've been putting into it??

If you're so hooked on entertainment forums, why don't you spend your time looking for one you like, instead of channelling all your energy into trying to force one on AF?

My opinion? This thread sucks. That's my opinion. If Administrators wanted an Entertainment Forum there would be one by now.

The TV forum is more than sufficient and movies are also encouraged to be discussed in the TV forums :)

Then why isnt it called the movie & tv forum? Its not that hard to change a forums name, you could just change the TV forum into an entertainment forum. I am not forcing anything on anyone, just putting out an idea, to get feed back, how other people feel. I do use other sites, I just thought an entertainment section might bring more people to AF, and if you look around there are a lot of posts and threads on AF already that would make more sense if they were in a entertainment section <like all the fast & furious 2 posts/threads in the automotive news desk forum>. The only reason I made this thread was because someone else asked me to. I think an entertainment section is a good idea and if you agree thats great and if you dont thats fine too. :D

I don't like the idea. Perhaps renaming the existing TV forum would be enough but other then that.....

T.V= 90% B.S (even the way the news is shown is BS)

AF= 100% truth ( no-one is gonna lie to you here to hurt you)

T.V lies, people you interact with through message board are'nt gonna try to tinkle with your mind. That's why I stoped watching T.V a LONg time ago, and when I watch i for at least 5 minutes... I say to myself " I can't believe I use'to watch this BS"

This might not have anything to do with books or sports but I'm just stating my honest opinion ;)

I had a really good reply lined up for this thread, but when I read it again and realised what a waste of time and bandwidth it was, I lost my motivation.

maybe its just me, but why cant you people be a little more open minded? i mean, some of you guys are cool, and some are just close-minded idiots (im not naming anyone or putting anyone in particular down). i mean, he has a good idea here. a lot of you are bringing up the name of the site. if we didnt know that already we wouldnt be here! that plus the fact he wants this in OFF TOPIC! cmon, be a little more open minded to people's suggestions.

i would be more open-minded if he weren't putting so much effort into this. it's one forum that he can EASILY find elsewhere on the internet if he would just look! he's put so much effort into getting this forum on AF when it's not needed, and that effort could have been used to find a similar forum elsewhere. it's just not in AF's best interests right now it seems.

i dont know. all i know is i think its a good idea, and im gonna back him up throughout this.

listen no one else seems to share your idea for this forum. just let it die
