Driving to school at about 80 mph when i hear a cylinder drop out. My exausht noise was a steady pitch then it started to get choppy like a cylinder was missing. So i gewt to school go to class and come back out side and start testing my car. I am a sad lonely person, besides my tools at the shop, i carry around a bunch of tools and my extra compression tester, mutlimeter, and test light.:D
Cylinder 3 isn;t firing so i pull the plug and it is covered in oil and black shit. The compression test come back with a big zero, damn. I drove to work the next day babying the car so that i could do a leakdown test and see if it was a head gasket or something else. Go to do plug in the leak down test and as soon as i do i hear air blowing by headers. I check my muffler and it is like AC back there. End of story, 1 burnt exausht valve on cylinder 3. Lucky i saved the head from a d15 we pulled at Honda so easy swap for this weekend.
Damn hondas:finger: :flipa:

I'm glad I'm not the only one carrying around enough provisions and tools to jump-start the industrial revolution in case civilization breaks down.

PS-I'm not as paranoid as I used to be. I stopped carrying the geiger counter.

Shit that is what i forgot to add to my car.:D
One of the reasons why i carry around so many tools is because i compete at many SPL comps and some require me to change things. Also i am pretty much the tool box for the team at SPL comps. Take out seats here, replace alt there, you know minor stuff.:D

You dudez carry too much junk in the trunk, I use a "robogrip" for tightening and loosening and I use my thumb to test compression.

Trunk? What trunk? That area is occupied by a very large speaker box with a very large amp attached to it.

Valve is nothing, I blew the rod on my D15 and it was like "rrrrRRRR BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMmMMMMM!!!" and the whole car shook. I had several very large holes in the engine block. It was funny as shit.

Hehe, I did that in my Mom's Toyota Tercel wagon... lots of noise, lots of sparks, and lots of smoke... Car died as soon as I pushed in the clutch as I was pulling over.
The crazy thing was it started back up after I pulled over :p

If all the oil didn't explode out of the car through the holes I bet I could have driven on just 3 cylinders, that would have been really funny. I think the ECU shuts off the car once the oil pressure gets too low because everytime I've seen the Oil light come on in my car the car has died like 4 seconds later.

My friend blew a rod in his integra 2 weeks ago and he calle me and i went and looked at it and it had a 3 inch hole in the block by the #4 cyclinder. I got in the car started it up and threw him the keys to my car and drive his car to his house, like 4 miles away. It hit 55 on the way to his house on 3 cyclinders. When i was like half-block away from his house the car died b/c of low oil pressure. If we would have put a quart or two of oil in it would have ran a bit longer. He was like what are you doing, than i asked him whats the worse that can happen ? It already has a hole in the block, he than agreed.
