My very first model - 1:24 Enzo progress

I am a newbie to modeling but I think I started off on the right foot with some help from my dad, who has modeled for over 10 years.

Tips/advice welcome!!!

I know that the calipers on 1:1 Enzos are black, but talk about boring!

Not being mean or anything but the paint on the calipers, they are not evenly brushed on.
Try to thin the paint more otherwise its all looking good to me.

thanks, it is Sony's DSC-S85! I love it to death, I've taken 4,500+ pics in only 3 and a half months!

thanks, this camera was my first digital and probably my last - it is that good!

what do you guys think? Should I paint the photoetched brakes or not? I think it looks unrealistic but who cares when it looks this good!

Not bad....and I must say...brave choice of model to be your first...:p

This Kit STILL is at the bottom of my stack and Intimidates me...

From memory he's painting it Tamiya TS-19 Metallic Blue. To my knowledge he's still planning on doing it that colour.

good work man !!! The brakes look good but i think you should lightly sand the photoetch part for the brake i think it will be very realistic !!! I havent used them because I've drilled the holes !! That looks more realistic :D :D

Yep, the body will be Tamiya metallic blue with desert yellow (tan) for the leather in the interior!!

i will be starting on mine soon, i too have ordered the photoetch kit,
but i have one question, are you supposed to paint the photoetch parts for the brakes? i was under the impression that you werent..

You are supposed to paint them the colors in the Tamiya instructions, but I think they just look too good stock! Here are the finished brakes!

I implemented christofurr's idea of painting the Tamiya discs flat black to better define the holes!

I need to know how to glue the photoetch pieces to the plastic? I don't think cement works very well metal to plastic? :confused: :confused:

hehehe, I'm sort of a perfectionist, that and I LOVE brakes!!! :ylsuper :flash: :ylsuper

I got it for $399, but prices have gone up to around $425 because it's been discontinued

Super glue and Modeler's S-104 glue will glue the etch to plastic.:D
