Well, my first 3D car design is nearing completion. I'm still tryin to get realstic paint and lighting effects, but the exterior is pretty much done. Once i get a more realistic rendering, I'm gonna start the interior. Let me know what you think, and don't be afraid to criticize or give suggestions.

That is a excellent Model, i love it. I reckon the Mancusi Adrenalin. It isnt a great name but it is good for a slogan for the car.

Mancusi Gracia
Gracia roughy equals sexy/graceful in slang Spanish. And it goes along with the foreign sound.
IMO, it looks like an NSX. I like it though. :)

Thanks for the replies guys! i think so far Gracia is the best I've heard. Adrenaline is cool too, but Ford already used that on a pickup concept a few years ago. Keep the comments and name ideas comin!:)

just in case, for some strange reason, you wanted to know, my car's dimensions are:
Length - 172.4"
Width - 74.6"
Height - 47.0"
Wheelbase - 106.6"
Wheels - 19"
Tire Width F/R - 11"/13" (Thats alot of rubber!)

I have no comments about the name, but about the model: I think the roofline is a bit too high and it makes the car seem a little short and stubby. Other than that it looks good.

what app are you using to make the 3d renderations?

I am using 3D Studio Max 5 for both modeling and rendering.
Thanks for the name ideas, but I think I'm going to stick with one that I thought of - the Solaris. Don't know why, but I think it fits the car very nicely.
Here is a cool wire frame to surface image i put together. ( I rendered the wire frame and regular ones separately, and the combined them in Photoshop.
Incase anyone is interested, the model as of now takes up about 210,000 polygons (but i think i'm going to increase the smoothing iterations, which would about double that)

The roof isn't too high, it's just fine, it just looks high because the windows dip down into the curve in the doors, IMHO I'd not have the windows dip down and follow the curve, but keep them on their own course - I think it'd "flow" better that way.

Solaris makes me think of either the pontiac solstice (concept moving to production mode) or the sunfire. Just my .02.

Yea, I think that's what it is. The window is just huge. I think if he wanted to keep the window line going along with the door, then he should lower the roof and that would make it look better...

Thanks again for the replies, i think i'm gonna keep the window/roofline the way it is, i kinda like it. For any of you that want some cool wire frame renderings as your wallpaper, I just make a site (its a piece of crap, its just so you can get the pictures, there too big to post here). All the pics are 1600x1200, just click the solaris renderings link on the left.
Mancusi Motors (mancuz28.tripod.com/mancusimotors)
I'll make the site look better eventually, but i got finals comin up, and not much spare time now. And thanks for the praise on the cool wire frame render, but its actually very easy to do, anyone with a basic knowledge of 3Ds max and photoshop can do it:)
