Just thought I'd share my brakes.
This is the first new brakes this car has ever had in 101600 miles, hope these last as long.

hey, how big are them rotors?
FlossinPrimera

Same as stock, 11.1 inches if I remember correctly. (Rotors on a P10 are same diamater front and rear [actually if you want to get technical the rears are about 1/10th of an inch bigger than the front])

Prices ... Links ... please ... are they made to work with the stock calipers??:)

OK, here's the run down. The rotors are made by Power Performance Group (Front are made in Italy finished in USA, rears are Brembo made and finished in USA) Front rotors are 103$ each (remember these are Cadmium plated so they don't rust), rears are 76$ each. Front pads are Axxis Metal Masters 40$ for the set, rears are Auto Specialty Super-Lux and I paid 26$ for the set. I'm not sure how much the rear pads are since I ordered Metal Masters, but they couldn't source the part. I got them at Indy Import Performance, http://www.indyimport.com . I'm not sure if Luke ( http://www.digitalracer.com )can get these or not.
These brakes are direct replacement for stock (they are the same size as stock). But they are designed to resist warping, reduce fade, shorten stopping distance, etc...

have you installed em yet? if yeah, then was there a big differnece in the braking?

Nope, they're getting put on tomorow. They were supposed to be put on Friday, but that guy that was supposed to do it had to take the day off, will post results tomorow when I get my car back. Actually my car is locked up safe and tight at Indy Import Performance right now, so I have to drive the "CAT" tomorow (this is my brothers 91 Mercury Cougar V-8 with 178K miles, and it leaks gas, as if it didn't get bad enough gas mileage already)

Thanks for that. Those rotors work out at half the price of the DBA cross drilled and slotted pieces we get here in NZ. And I'm not so fussed on cross drilling anyway, haven't seen a race car with anything but slotted rotors yet, although they are much larger rotors:)

Well, I wouldn't go with cross drilled anyway if you have to drive in snow. If the brakes are heated and cooled to fast they will crack if they are cross drilled.

flossin-did you get them put in yet? input? feedback? i need to get new front brakes soon (they have about 30% left) and i figure i might as well change everything (front, rear, rotors, pads). so...do you like them?

Yeah, they on. Now that they're broken in I must say that they are amazing. Little to no fade. I took the car up to 90MPH and braked moderatly (about 50% of total force) to a complete stop, and they didn't fade. If I had done that with the stock brakes the pedal would have become stiff, none of that here. I must say that I'm impressed. The brakes are worth every penny.

So flossin, this is what you paid for everything (except instalation of course. That seems pretty cheap compared to some other brake kits out there.

Does DBA even have any applications for our cars? I asked them at SEMA about a Primera application, and they couldn't find any in their catalog, nor did they think they had any?

The Repco parts chain in NZ has just started selling DBA rotors. They do stock, slotted only, and drilled and slotted, in standard sizes for the Primera. I called them and asked and the approximate prices from memory were:
Slotted only NZ$300 each (US$123)
Cross drilled and slotted w/gold paint or gold-coloured zinc di-chromate passivate plating NZ$350 each (US$143.50)
Here's their url if you want to email them for part numbers etc.

Here's the DBA website:
http://www.dba.com.au
There's info on the rotors in there and their downloadable catalogue (Acrobat Reader) has a listing for an Infinity G50 - could that be a misprint for G20?

if you boys want braking power, go by yourself a 300zxTT master cylinder, *92* 300zxTT front brakes and slap them babies on with ate dot 4 fluid, SS brake lines and axxis pads all around, goddamn 60-0 112 feet :)

Unfortunately there is more to it than just bolting the brakes up :( There is quite a bit of little work and modifications to be done in order to run those brakes.

Yep. More detailed info can be found here:

Now, if Aztec has a simpler way (I've had a few ideas how to do it more simply), I'd love to hear it.

george, your right, not that easy, but not really hard, and TOTALLY worth it. anyways, i bought my 300zx brakes from al abadialla, george knows him or has talked to him. anyways, the total diameter of the rotor has to be shaved down, the holes in the rotor have to be drilled to fit our lug pattern. one of the holes already works, so you just have to get 3 of em drilled. machine shop can do this for you pretty cheaply. the stock brake lines can work with 3mm shaved off the stock brake line bolt. *this is not the correct way to do it* get some custom SS lines built for yourself. 125 bucks is worth your life or someone elses for that matter. DO NOT STACK WASHERS. you will SURELY die if you do this. i'm not going to detail this because one of you morons will do it :) so from there it's a bolt on upgrade. you gotta have at least 16" wheels and even at that, i had to use spacers to make em fit. if you do use spacers, then buy longer wheels studs, cause 1/4" of stud engagement will result in a wheel popping off and once again, death. they felt good, but after putting maxima brakes on the back it felt like spongy shit at the brakes pedal, so i put a 300zx master cylinder in. not going to explaint this really, it's a pain in the arse, space is tight(you will shit your pants when you see how much bigger that thing is), and i bought a willwood porportioning valve after almost spinning the damn car. well i guess 115 feet 60-0 speaks for itself.

Is 10ft really worth the trouble, stock is 60-0 in 125 feet.

i would think so, 10 feet could be into a track wall or the car in front of you. 10 is not THAT much, but it's also the modulation control that is available. the braking control available over stock brakes to me at least was incredible. i've gotten the rotors blue and they never faded on me once..and i think you might be mistaken on the 125 feet thing, it's gotta be more that that.

Nope, it's 125 feet alright, pretty good, eh?
