VW Bug with flames

Ok this is how I feel right now. I made a really good flame job on my bug and I took the tape off and it left #$%^ tape marks on the top. :mad:
Ive gone back and sanded the top and repainted it black but I dont know how it will turn out with a new set of flames on top....

what type of tape did you use? I know hoe that feel that just happened to me TIME to get some tamiya tape!!!

Not so hasty! They sell "Goo-gone" products at the home depot that take off stuff like that, alternatively you could have tried some light polish to try to polish the adhesive off!

well I don't dare try goo-gone or goof-off on plastic. Why? Because my experence has taught me that those products will melt the plastic. :eek:
I also tried the polishing method and light sanding-it didn't work. The picture I took was after the fact of sanding and polishing..... WAH!!:cry:
Im hoping to get some better tape tommorow and try again.
