02 Accord Tire Size

Lots of opinions but can anybody confirm that a 225/50-16 will fit an 02 Accord sedan without rubbing? Stock 15" rim is a 55mm offset and I'm planning a 16" with 42mm offset. My drawings, based upon published section widths, tells me that it should fit without any problem, other than extending out from the wheel well about 1" more than the stock tires. The overall diameter should be 24.9" vs. 25.0" for the stock package.

I don't know about changing the offset that much. Why do you want to do that? Just for the wider track? The increased width will make an incredible difference in handling as long as you pick a decent brand.
