My Order within (not much!) + Info on Yokohama Model 7

Here's my order. Not much, just tools and whatnot. The Tamiya stuff is 2mm thin round bars for use in wheel conversions after reading Chris's excellent tutorial on it. The Top Compound 2000 is Modeler's rubbing compound, I now have Tamiya compound, Modeler's, and Hasegawa rubbing compounds. Crazy :bloated: The tape is Modeler's 2mm tape.

Now as you may know HLJ lists the Fujimi Yokohama Model 7's as being 18 inches, well they're not, they're only 17" and the box even says so, so it's a goof on HLJ's part. I e-mailed them about it and am waiting to see what they say. I believe the pics tell the story

Some useful supplies there Dan.

I would encourage everyone to do the same and splash out on supplies instead of another kit that is likely to not get built anytime soon.

I just bought a decent range of Tamiya masking tape and some other supplies; I convinced one of the local hobby shops to start carrying Tamiya Polishing Compound after describing how easy it is to use!:D All the models in the world are no good without the right preparation & tools;)

After spending several hundred dollars mainly on models when I got back into modeling and then realizing that having the model was only half of what you needed I would also have to say that tools and supplies are your friend and half your model money should go to them.

I agree - getting the a variety of useful supplies is what makes the kit. Only prob is I can't seem to escape a good bargin on a kit - much to the dismay of the wife! :D

You can still cancel all the items can't you? As long as they're not in payment processing/shipping yet
