WANT TO DO LAMBORGINI DOOR CONVERSION BUT CANT FIND DOOR KIT. CAN ANY ONE HELP??????????????

I know what you mean but I dont think the instructions were very much. Also the only problem I see with doing it yourslef is that you have to do welding and stuff. I dont think thatd be to big of a deal unless you dont live near a welding shop.

i think so, i saw it on a BMW and a toyota. im guessing its universal

i have checked on it and yes there is welding involved and you also have to buy hydraulic cylinders like we have on our trunks, the cd tells you how but i know a guy who did it and it looked great, 1500 dollars later:(

for that price id get the kit and be done with it (not that i would ever do this mod)

Well what I'd like is a REAL lambo door like conversion :D The doors going up sideways vertically not this on an angle deal. That would rock.. It seems simpler then anything but... you'd have two hydrolic things lifting the doors and a lock on bottom.. or sides something like that in theory o_O

hmmm well i dont exactly know, but i konw someone would prolly not mind makin some for you, or making them to the point you can easily install them, but for the right price:wink: BUT i would pay a visit to an exotic car shop place, that fixes them or something...theres one around me, i might do some research to see...but i dont have that much time and its not a priority considering i dont have the money...lol

ok today i went to see a broadway show in nyc and i parked in one of those lots where u pay and they take ur car and all, well all i have is my car lowered, but i was thinking cus i was online waiting to pay and there was a huge line of people paying and waiting to get there cars, every car that came by they would look at it and not say anything but just stare and let it go, cars like mercedes would roll up and shit cars like toyota corolla's well anyway my car rolled up, and the valet guy was driving it and i was thinking, shit it would of been hot if when he got out the car my doors opened up like the lambo doors and everyone there would of check it out, and see me and my girl get into it, so after tonite, now im looking into this door kit, i really like the autoloc one, what u guys think? :bigthumb:

The gull wing doorsi s what I'm interested, that's like more unique I think. Since there are far more 'lambo' like doors :/ I dunno.

You all should download quicktime (www.apple.com/quicktime) if you don't have it and watch the video on autoloc's site of the doors opening. It's clearly a sped up video, and the video's incredibly long. As far as I can tell, the doors take nearly 30 seconds to open fully.

yeah, i spend hours looking for stuff on ebay and I have seen something or another pertaining to lamo doors, but my friend wanted them for her celica said she wouldn't do it b/c the weight of the door would eventually cause too much stress and the whole contraption would stop working. That's what she said, she could be full of crap, I don't know, but it does sound entirely feasible.

Import Precision is coming out with a lambo door kit for eclipse and 300gt. Their kit is claimed to be stronger than anyone elses and they can open both lambo and regular. The price hasn't been anounced yet but they expect it to cost around $1400 for the kit. Visit www.importprecision.com for more info. :thumbsup:

The last url is a bit weird, they are more like the mercedes doors from the pic I posted earlier.

Although they seem to be adjustable, not quite lambo, but they can go ALL THE WAY UP or spread on an angle. Interesting none the less :D

hey just to let you know if you go to dogpile.com and type in your cars year and model followed by vertical lift system you will probably get the same web site I did. The kits they sell need no drilling or welding or anything like that, but you have to take off bumpers and fenders and all other types of stuff, so unless you know what you are doing I would try it. There are still pieces of the kit you have to cut, but it is pretty simple to instal, and cheap to. The best thing is to have a licensed profesional do it right. By right I mean modify the door with out a kit, they do a hell of a job, it is more expensive but it looks stock, works great, and gives you time to mod your car out in some other way that doesn't require a blow toarch and saw. Oh I for got to tell you you need a lot of free time to do this, so that is why I say you get more time having a profesional do it, I don't know exactly, but I would say a couple days alone, and one for a profesional to do your door like a lambo, you can also give profesionals kits and they can mod it with them.

i have about 5 websites with lambo doors for 2g eclipse's (in my favorites, im not at home). There is no welding or any BS like that its all bolt on stuff u can do in maby an 2 hours or so....

Anyway, why would you want lambo doors, they add weight to your car and there not even real lambo doors. They go out then up, personaly, it looks stupid when you see someone get out of there car like that (only for show!) I know a guy who has em on a 3000gt. A year later he's been haveing problems with getting the door shut all the way and it now leaks....have fun!!!
