bleh i wouldn't care what they thought. Most vette owners are stuck up scum anyways. Unless you drive a chevy you're trash to them. Although there are the few that are cool.

my roomate owns a vette, 99 c5, he's cool about it tho, i have a Z and he still gives me props on my car and stuff, so not all of em are dick holes, contrary to popular beliefe

Most owners are my buddys unlce lets us use his vette sometimes its an auto though eww! But if there comparing the Z-06 to a Z thats stupid due to in most writers views the z-06 is a supercar. My buddy and i were using a old cop car we just bought for 700 still had the lights and all driving it home to strip and clean and sell and this dude in a vette reved on us the car still had frigging lights! I just laughed and smoked his ass.

There are a lot of people who dont like the 350Z and its not just vette owners. As far as Vette owners being stuck-up, you could say that about the owners of any expensive sports cars, because their are always people who think their car is the fastest on the planet. Sure there was some hate directed towards 350Z owners in that thread, but there were a lot of points to back it up. If you ask me I feel the 350Z should be faster for the price tag on it. Some of the new turbo fours that are coming out are as fast if not faster and they are all cheap little four doors. They need to bring back the twin turbo, just like in the past with the Z's if you had a V6 model it was ok, but if you had the twin turbo you were the shit. Dont get me wrong, I like the look of the new Z, I just think it needs more go. :)

I always heard the Z33 is faster then the tt Z32.......

so how can u say its worse etc.... but with the turbos already on in the z32 it has lots of potential for upgrades.

also the Vq35DE has same rated hp as a VG30DETT.....

their compairing a $27k car to a 45$ one. im sooo impressed the vette won :rolleyes:, for 18 thousand more i would hope so, put that money into the Z and see who wins.

Um doesn't the 350Z range from $27-34 or something around that?

They have different models, all with different price tags, but they all have the same engine.:confused:

a 350Z would tear up a Vette... dumbasses.... unless ofcourse the driver sucked... The Vettes around here get chewed up all the time by the 3 Z's here... They just hide in their garage on the weekends now :P

I would chose the 350Z hands down...they are better looking than corvettes. Corvettes are just overpriced cars that don't look at that good..sure they have 350hp, but the car is just soo damn heavy!!! Japanese cars are waaaay better than american cars...in every aspect. :cool:

the Z is cool... much moreso then those ugly ass corvettes... but I think the most beautiful is still the Viper... I know they're not the best... but god do they look awesome.

got to admit i did lose to a NSX on the 118 here in LA but it was like 140mph my old as car wasnt made to go that fast it's freakin 30+ years old. but i wish i had a 4 with loads of hp and good on gas...:smoker2:

I hear the C5 handles like a pig... I hear the exact opposite about the 350z........ any of us who have driven a nice nissan and a nice chevy immediatly know the difference on suspensions so we dont need to comment. Its those people that have only driven chevy's and don't know how good a nissan sports car can handle that have no idea what they are talking about. I hear people ranting and raving o Nissans suck, but I gurantee if you took them for a ride in a nice suped up Z or 240sx... they would like it a lot... and I've seen a few cases of that happening, one guy has a LS1 Camaro and likes his 240sx WAY better, even though it has about 200hp less...... go figure.

350Z's are just badass in a different kind of way. They are still badass, though.

Corvettes are just too unoriginal. It isn't unusual to see a corvette ever, they don't really even turn heads anymore. 350Zs are totally different car than anyone has really seen before and there still isnt a lot on the road (at least not here in minnesota).

Check your numbers again. The 350z and the Corvette weigh about the same. The normal C5 is actually a few pounds lighter and the Z06 is even lighter than that.

As far as looks, that's a matter of personal opinion.

Anyway, why all the hostility toward someone just because they own a vette? I own a C5. It doesn't mean I don't like the 350z. The 350z is an awesome car. They're almost as fast as a vette for a lot less money. I just preferred the vette.

Japanese cars are not necesarily way better than american cars. I dont mean to turn this into another stupid import vs domestic discussion that always gets out of hand, so lets just stay with the 350Z vs Corvette thing.

Lets see for the vette Z its what? 20-25K more, and everyone has seen the vette but a vette doesn't turn heads like my 350Z does. I'll stick with my 350Z and spend 3-5K more to eat the standard vettes.

every serious enth driver referrs to the vette as the 'old mans 'rod' and it's true. the only reason they even handle well is not because they are engineered well, but because they have HUGE fucking tires that make up for the driver's lack of skill.

and (when they get it out) put a ball-bearing turbo pushing only 13psi for about 5k and it will run circles around the vette. i got a friend with a miata pushing 15psi (intercooled, etc.) and kicks the shit out of everything just short of 911s (including a ferrari modena, which conversely was the funniest expression on the man's face that i have ever seen.) his total car cost was 30k after mods.

oh and the most popular sports car in the world in total numbers (or convertable sc, im not totally sure) is according to the guiness book of world records, is (or at least was a couple years ago) the miata.
