carbon fibre

How do you make carbon fibre hoods.... and please don't say go to www.___.com and search the tuts....i've tried many times but have never succeeded. My carbon fibre patter seems too large on pictures when i fill a new layer and then cover the sections i want to change (in photoshop is 8x6 pix). How do YOU make YOUR carbon fibre is what i'm really asking.

:( I just find a picture of a carbon fiber hood and warp it as I need.

alright, follow the tuts, but after you get your carbon fiber pattern made on a 12X6 palette, resize it to a 3X3 palette and save that as a pattern. Should help out. After that just follow the rest of the tut.
