2000 blazer ticking

My 2000 blazer is ticking. Started at 62000. I have belt because I thought it might be the tensioner but it did nothing. Talking to others I heard of a spider gear in the fuel system. Was told to run fuel injection cleaner threw it a couple times to help and nothing has stopped the ticking noise. Can someone please help me. What is the noise and where is it coming from? 4.3 vortec:rolleyes:

is it speed related? if so i could be a speedo cable...another way to tell is if your speedo is jumpy

This thread is two years old and 2000s don't have speedo cables. :)
