98 Malibu Starting/Electrical issues

I have a 98 chevy malibu that is having a starting/electrical problem. The battery, starter and ignion switch has been replaced. When I turn the key to the start position I hear a click, the gauges spin, and power drops for several minutes. I have disconnected the battery. removed the starter. I still have th same issue with the power dropping. I have checked the grounding thru out the car with a multimeter. Any thoughts?

Have you checked how tight the cables to the battery are? I have learned that if they are not tightned all the way down, the car will have power until you turn the key, then the gauges turn, lights go dim, and all you'll get is clicking. I would try that first.
