I was just wondering if it would be possible to convert the front end of an older chev ck 89- 96 to a new style front 99-2002. If it is how should I go about doing it and what will I need?

I get this question a lot at work and I always tell them that if you like that style save your money and buy one. Everything is different, Radiator, core support, hood, fenders, inner fenders, grill, lamps, frame. It will cost a small fortune to change it all. I am not even sure that it will all bolt together.

I have seen it done to a 98 dually to a 2000 2500HD conversion but the guy replaced the entire front frame and fenders had to be modified to match the styleline

You can look through a trucking magazine and get a aftermarket kit or you can get the good GM stuff. The Gm stuff will fit alot better and is better quality, it's a little higher but well worth it. It's all totally bolt on stuff. The only downfall with the Gm stuff is you have to fill in the fender flare holes. Here's the GM part numbers if you plan on going that route. HOOD 15053969 1
