Does anyone have any pics of RSX tails shaved into a hatchback? I've been thinking about this mod for a while now, and it looks like these tails might be a nice fit, but I want to see some pics...

Dammit... Now I remember seeing that pic a while back. That would look so sweet if they didn't stick out on the sides like that. Dammit. Well... Back to the ol' drawing board I guess...

Doesnt look right because he never finished. You can see on the left tail light, theres still a gap between light and the edge where old tail light used to fit up. I used to want RSX tail lights in mine, but i picked preludes.

ci5ic,
there is still hope. This guy should have moved the lights in closer so the the farthest part on the outsides went flush with the body, then recess the sheet metal into the fender to follow the contour on the angled corner. I don't know if I said it right but the farthest out part of the taillight should be flush with the body and the the rest of the contoured area can recess into the body. Get it, got it, nevermind.

the hatch Synful posted is a better job then aces, on aces, it looks like the guy just took the lights out, and bolted the RSX in some kind of homemade quicky bracket, and bolted it to the back and didnt finish yet, ( at least i hope they didnt finish it yet. )
IhaveanSTD 's explaination is pretty accurate and everything. Thats what i did, took in the Lude's more to the center so they wouldnt stick out, cus u can always mod. the car, but not the tail lights.
make bracket that fits light, and car.. fiberglass gaps, etc

Yeah, that 2nd one looks tighter, wish I could see some more pics from different angles... That first one would only be cool if he molded in a wide-body that fit well with the part of the lights that sticks out...

Supra tail lights looking better just depends on the drivers taste and opinion.. but it would be ALOT easier to install them rather any kind of tail light with angles and shapes/curves.. the supras are just flat ovals.. and the back of our car is pretty flat anyways. So i'd imagine all you do, is fill it up w/fiber glass w/a cut out to fit the tail lights, make bracket to bolt in to the bottom of the bumper inside trunk area, and in the bracket, just include the cut outs in the back for the wires to the lights of course, and fill any gaps w/fiberglass.. b4 sticking tail lights in for good, sand dried fiberglass down really good to make sure its flush. Then any last adjustments you might have to make. Should be not too hard a job if you do everything right first try, and work consistantly.

Im not sure bout the Paint Job on the hood. Maybe if i had a better view. But the "H" on its pretty cool. The dash is a little too crazy for my taste. And the RSX tails are in good too, just a lil crooked, but i think that was on purpose. And i wouldnt do diagonal liscense plates.. my car has to be perfectly perpendicular on both sides on the outside for me. . . or else i feel like it'll tip over or swirve around  But over all, i wouldnt mind that ride. Im workin on my headlights 2mar'o after school im tryin to get that done b4 summer. i'll keep update pix posted tho ;)

That car looks nasty... That body work is not really all that good... you can see the warp in the door on the side view, and it just doesn't flow at all... especially the scoops in the sides. They just don't look like they belong there. The interior looks straight stoopid too... as I said in the other thread about this car, I can appreciate the time and energy put into the car, but it just lacks real artistry (aside from the air-brushing).

the lights on the back that the topic is about...

Actually, the topic is about Acura RSX tail-lights, not CRX tails. Basically, it depends... best place to find some stock RSX tails is probably e-bay. Price will vary.

I believe that car was the topic of great discussion the other day...
I have to give some praise for the wild work, but I think that this dude could have picked a more appropriate color scheme, or something....
