Has anyone heard about this kit?

Only $13 at modelexpress.net.
I'd paint it Porsche silver in a road version. ;)

It was listed in Revells '03 new release announcement a short while back.

It's a Revell, what did you expect?
I'm not saying all Revells are bad..

Just a reissue of the Revell Champion & Mobil GT1's. Not bad kits when you can find one that isn't warped like mad. K

What they said. It's originally a Dragon/DML tool. Inferior to the Tamiya and UT Models kits, though the Cartograf decals are top-notch and the driveline is very useful for transplanting into other Porsches, like Revell's old 70's 911 Carrera RS kit.
Ask me how I know this...

It's a swap I'm performing, of course. :D
The only catch is that I'm only using the block, heads, cam covers, and injectors. I'm trying to build it into a NA engine as classic NA Rear Wheel Drive 911's are my personal favorites.

Sounds sweet! Hope to see a progress thread soon ;)

I hope to have a couple going. I build mostly "old school" imports with a lot of domestic kit parts. Some of the cutting, hacking, and general kit-bashing I do is pretty nuts. I've even got an LT-5 powered 1969 Corvair with Hewland transaxle swiped from an Accurate Minatures McLaren Mk8B in the pipeline.
