saturn forum sucks

Ok i posted this message in the saturn forum the other day and guess what...no answers..... anyone here work on saturns much? if so i have a few questions for ya......thanx

What is the questions...

are they hard to work on? do they have any problems that suck to work on? are trannys hard to replace? how does the keyless work?....etc etc etc......

DONT buy a saturn!!! i mean DONT, my friend had one a couple of years ago, brand new, the engine seised somehow (yes he took care of it) took it back because it was under warrenty, tranny fucked up on it 3 months later of everyday gentle driving......he got rid of it and got a accord, crashed the accord 7 months ago, and decided to give saturn another chance, he got a vue and it has been fucking up every month since

My Dad had one. Eventually the engine wouldn't rev above 4000rpms. To it's credit though it was pretty reliable until the end and my Dad treated it like shit. It eventually died because my dumbass Dad lost the oil dip stick and then I guess the oil got so low the engine seized, not the cars fault of course. However even with a horrible sound coming from the engine the car was still driveable.

my daily driver is a Saturn, a 96 SL2, and its a good car, good gas mileage, good amt. of power, but still an american car...... and its a saturn...... period. Well, i have heard from everyone, that the biggest problem with saturns are the tranny's!!! they will go on you like hot cakes if ur hard on the car!! Other than that, my car has it all, traction conrol, power everything, cd player, i put my system in, and all the other bull shit my honda diddt have, except , its got a slush box!!! O well, when my Hatch is done, the Saturn is still gonna be my daily driver, but the Civic is my weekend/Summer car........
