keyless entry reprogramming

want to program another remote for a 2000 chevy tracker don't know how, can use some help please

Programming the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver

Important
The vehicle comes equipped with two transmitters. The receiver can be programmed to accept up to four transmitters. Additional transmitters are available. If the number of transmitters programmed exceeds four, the previously programmed transmitters will be erased in order, starting with the first transmitter.


To program the receiver to accept the transmitter, follow the procedure.

Set the receiver to the reprogramming mode by installing a 5 amp fused jumper wire from cavity 8 (3) to cavity 4 (2) of the data link connector (1). The door locks will lock and unlock once to indicate you are in the reprogramming mode.



Within 1 minute, press the LOCK (1) and UNLOCK (2) buttons simultaneously until all door locks lock and unlock once each.

Important
Additional transmitters must be reprogrammed within 30 seconds of the previous transmitter.


To reprogram the next transmitter, press the LOCK (1) and UNLOCK (2) buttons of the transmitter (3) simultaneously until all door locks lock and unlock once each. Repeat the previous step for up to 4 transmitters



Disconnect the fused jumper wire from the data link connector (1).

I also would like to reprogram a remote for this vehicle and appreciate the directions, but can not see the pictures. Could you repost them?

Will this procedure work on a 2001 Tracker ?

How can I program the remote for a 2001 Chevy Tracker.

This is how I did it on a 2002 Tracker. Both remotes mysteriously quit working after coming back from the shop. I got this from the Suzuki board where they said it would only work for 2003 and up Vitaras...

If transmitter/door lock (http://www.automotiveforums.com/#) controller is replaced with new one or additional transmitter(s) is necessary,
program transmitter code(s) as follows:
1) Confirm that all the doors are closed and the ignition key is out of the ignition cylinder.
2) Open the driver’s door. Insert the key and turn the ignition switch to ON position within 10 seconds.
3) Turn the ignition switch to OFF position within 10 seconds, remove ignition key from lock cylin-der.
4) Push and release the driver’s door switch (1) 3 times within 20 seconds.
5) Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to ON position within 10 seconds.
6) Turn the ignition switch to OFF position within 10 seconds, remove ignition key from lock cylin-der.
7) Press and hold both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons (2) on the transmitter (3) for more than 5 seconds
within 20 seconds of removing the ignition key from the lock cylinder in step 6.
8) Press LOCK or UNLOCK button (2) on the transmitter (3) within 5 seconds (after step 7). All the
doors will lock/ unlock to confirm that this process has been properly done.
With this process, the transmitter has been programmed.
9) If you want to program an additional transmitter, repeat the procedure from Step 1) through Step 8).
10) Make sure that the keyless entry system properly operates by operating each transmitter.

I have a 2001 Tracker that lost remote progamming when I changed the battery. I used the instructions above with sucess.
