Just got my b16 in!!

well my car just got back from the shop about a week and a half ago. i had to struggle through the break in period but i finally hit the 500 mile mark. so i took her to the track. my first run i ran a 14.3. but i knew i could do better.second run i had the most perfect launch everything felt and my time was a 13.97. i didn't think i was going to hit the 13 mark. i felt so good. my motor is torquey as hell. i don't know what the redline guy is talking about. when i ran the 13.9 i raced a 88 crx with a ls motor that was completly gutted. only thing it had was a tach and a seat on the inside. and it was on slicks. it ran a 14.10. i had my full interior in the car, less than a 1/4 tank of gas with about 15psi in the tires. i relized i need new brakes too. btw i have a b16a with type r cams, pistons, rods, and valve and valve springs. with a y1 tranny, stage 3 centerforce clutch, and LSD. i love it so much. well i just figured i would let all of you know. peace. btw i will have pics up as soon as i get my new valve cover.

lol now u need a helmet cause u ran 13s. next time u should strip your interior, and upgrade teh axles and run some slicks. youll probably run like low 13s

did u get the valve cover painted the same colour as ur car? hehe ;)

no the valve cover is in shitty shape, as chipped. but i am going to get a new one, either a type r or a grey mugen valve cover. i'm still deciding. but i am still at work, i don't know what time i am going to get home but as soon as i do i will take some pics of the slips and post them for all of you.

woah woah woah, no under the table lovin unless it is supercharged!! j/k btw the bolt on didn't come with the swap, i bought them off the shop for 300 bux. but all the type r internals came included with the swap along with lsd. here is some pics of my motor when i first drove her home. note i hadn't installed the header or intake yet.

walt is a apo at anclote power plant which is owned by progress energy. i know your asking yourself what a apo is, well it stands for assistant plant operator. which in a nut shell means i turn valves all day. i make 22 dollars an hour. and i work 12 hours a day mon through friday and i get caled in alot on the weekends. so i work for everything i have done to my car.:D

i got a job lined up already when i turn 18, 22 bux an hour either driving a fork lift, or welding train cars or painting train cars, my dad got my bro in there painting so he said once i turn 18 he's gettin me in there too :D

Actually, the more I look at those pics, the more I like the fact that you haven't painted your engine bay... It makes it look soft and pink on the inside, kinda like... er... well... use your imagination LOL.

well i didn't beat the vette but i was right there on his butt. and yes your right i have not yet painted my engine bay. i'm a lazy ass sometimes. i will be as soon as my vavle cover comes in. i oreded the grey mugen valve cover. i will painting the whole engine compartment black. hopefully it will look good. i will post pics when its all said and done

i dont think your engine looks ugly, i like it. And it should look alot better when u paint it black and have that valve cover on it. That is sick, i want one too. Nice time too ! Just strip yer interior, and spray tires with hair spray ! ( Extra hold ) :D

You said LHT did the swap. They do good, work my friend goes to them. Do you live in Florida?
