Will a d15b vtec work with my stock axels on my 1.5 non vtec? Is this a good swap to do?

they should work, and it might be alittle tricky for emissions.....if you have them, and aftermarket support in america probably sucks, im sure you could probably get parts from other d15 and 16's to work tho

move to missouri. our emissions test consists of :
inspector looks under the car. "yep it looks like it has a catayltic converter" CHECK.

Yes, but Missouri is a total bitch if you've just moved there and purchase a vehicle. They won't give you a title or a plate unless you can prove that you don't owe any state taxes.
If you've just moved there, you don't owe any taxes, but there's no way to PROVE that you don't...since you're not in the system. It took me WEEKS!
So no, Missouri is not hassle-free. I had to get an inspection, too, but no one wants to do one! The big shops can make money faster by doing other stuff. If you want an inspection, you have to make an appointment, sometimes a week or two in advance!
Missouri=Major Hassle.

PS-Grrrr....and they sent me 4 or 5 different offices all over the city!

pfft. all you have to do is go to the courthouse, TELL them you dont own any property, and they give you a tax exempt form.
and you can do inspection at pretty much any service station, most gas stations, or pretty much any automotive shop, so you have a large selection to choose from.
I dont find missouri to be a pain at all :confused:

The court house was one of the many offices I went to. Turns out, since my folks lived north of the river (Kansas City VS. Platte whatever) I had to go to a different office. And I had to cough up proof that I'd been living in another state, coming up with bills in my name, etc.
None of the places will do inspections on the weekends, so you have to miss work. Frequently, there's only one guy in any shop who's qualified to do the inspections, and he's either not there or busy.
I'll bet you've been there a long time, civic dude!
I've been meaning to say 'hello' to you. My grandma lives up in Maryville, and two of my high-school-age cousins there have 4g civics. I kick 'em down my leftover parts. And sometimes they help me out, too.
I love MO in the winter.
