R33 Dreaming Progress Thread (pics inside)

Here's my new Skyline R33 nismo GTR im building. Heres some progress pics of it, So far i have done.... Chassis, LightGunMetal paint job, decals, Slanted exhaust, intercooler, and some parts of my tail lights. I was messing around so.. i just put eyes so... evil. The intercooler makes my car look strong and mean.:p Tell me whut u think. Thanx

Not all of my model do, i just like the style so... thats why. And i didnt paint the chassis cuz i liked it the color it was.

Alright, shorty is certainly not a friend or anything, and i do think its funny the way alot people rip on him, but who gives a shit the way he put on his muffler. Its HIS model, and if he likes that style so be it. You dont need to bitch about. I know its your opnion, but put it in a diffrent way, like asking him, "why did you put a huge slanted muffler on your skyline? I think it would of been better with out it", or something like that.

hey im not ripping anyone, i spent 6 years working in a muffler shop and the only reason that i ever installed a muffler crooked was because the guy who brought in his own shiny, overwieght, way to big piece of crap muffler that woudnt fit underneth his piece of s**T honda, or nissan, or toyota , or whatever. to have a muff hang out crooked on a vehicle that doesnt need it to promted me to ask why he slanted the exhaust , the fact that he did so is his choice , but just because the car mags and the morons out on the street have crooked exhaust because they cant get the exhaust into the vehicle with a proper sized muffler doesnt make it right. chaz

I have seen skylines before with slanted exhaust...I think it must do sumtin cuz a lot of drifters do it...???

so what your telling me is that if i go out to my car and bend the exhaust sideways coming out the rear twice becase i have dual exhaust that i will be able to throw my 3800 pound car thru the corners sideways.

Slanted exhausts IMO give the car an agressizve look from the rear. Looks good so far Shorty! You should do some black and lighter silver in that chassis, it doesnt looks realistic.

yeah, not everything in a car's chassis is the same color. there's blacks and coppers and silvers etc etc. not to rip on you, i'm just suggesting...

built this model sometime ago, I thought it was good but now look at it and it looks like a peice of shit. thinking of scraping, or redoing. It was a fun model to build though, hope urs doesnt turn out as bad as mine did!

Thanx. And about the mesh, no Its just plastic mesh molded with the car, but i wish they had jus let me put in REAL mesh. They did give me realy Mesh for the front air dam where the intercooler is but i didnt want to put it, i wanted people to see the big intercooler.:D

Here some new updates, i just painted the chassis, and painted my headlight housing black, put in my orange blinkers, and put on a flat black color wing, and thats about it. Tell me whut u think. Thanx

This R33 is probably going to be in the AF Contest, or maybe if i do finish my C-West R34 Skyline ill put that in instead, but i doubt it cuz i dont want to rush on building my model, i just started ordering my R34 and im going to order my SAS C-West bodykit from Chris probably on Friday or soo...

Styrene, putty, and winglets from an Aoshima GT Wing Aristo. I also opened the grille up and added my own intercooler. This kit was the Tommy kaira R.:cool:

good stuff comming on this model, I remembered when I was younger I couldn't build cars worth crap cuz I couldn't paint right, but man you'll be good. =D Your younger than most of us right? im 20 so i guess im in the middle of the threads...

Keep the skylines alive man, its the best car out there, haha i personally build about 17 of them in my life time since 92, no paints or anything, and all them are trashed out somewheree and turned into plastic bottles by now, but I juss got back on building, this time they are painted =D

This is a good kit, do well, wish you the best.

Come look at my models when you got time, im building the same GTR as you are, but mine is purple, come take a look whenyou got itme
