While I'm off at school I don't work. During the summer I work for my dad, except this summer I'll probably only be doing school, so I'll be real poor next year.

in the summers, i'm a counsellor for a kid's day camp, ages 5-12. i was going to get a job in April and May of this year, but just got piled with a new load of homework that's going to prevent me from being able to have a job, so until June, no income for me. :(

None of the above. I don't take photos, and don't "go" anywhere.
I build the classifieds, color-correct the photos, and print the pages to negative, build commercial print projects, proof everything, and build some ads.

i work part time in a liquer store(i am only 20 but i am drinking a corona right now :D) and i am currently looking for a full time job so i can afford more mods for cougar.

Working two jobs.

One as a Visitor Information Officer at the info centre.

The other as a groomer at the boat dealership in town. Basically I clamber over toys that cost tens of thousands of dollars :D (for the stupid - I clean and detail boats.)

Hmm...compeition eh, Moppie? I work for Baker's Delight doing whatever they want me to do. Usually customer service, occasionally baking. I've currently got an application in to do ski tuning/retail over the winter at a ski shop. :D@Tangie. :flash:

QB supply 60% of the bread sold in NZ.
I personaly deliver over 2,000 loaves everyday, and theres 40 contractors working, over half of them taking out 10,000+ loaves everyday. And thats just in the lesser Auckland region.
There are over 150 lines, and at just the Auckland bakery between 500 and 750,000 differnt products are baked, and sent out to shops every day. That dosnt include Pies and most small goods like Crumpets etc.
There are another 3 bakeries and several small goods plants scattered around the country, I guess about 2 million differnt items are produced every day. (The average supermarket will sell over 2,000 loaves a day, and then theres the Diarys and Gas stations etc, which is who I deliever to)
And of course Quality bakers is part of Goodmanfielder who also own Watties and Tip Top among others. They would be turning over in a day what everysingle Bakers Delight combined wouldnt be able to make in a year.
(and they have just been bought out by an even bigger company :eek: )

Forunatly I have nothing what so ever to do with the bakery other than having to walk thought it to load the truck.
My day is spent trying to avoid idiots who dont how to drive, while delivering bread and talking to the customers and trying to keep them happy.
I don't technicaly work for Quality bakers, Im employed by the Contractor who has a contract with them to deliver bread to a given number of shops. Its just easier to say I drive a bread truck for QB. :)

I work in an accounting. I find big sums of money in missing transactions. Sometimes 3-4million Euro's a day!

Theres is plenty of work out there, you just have to be prepared to do it, and accept what they will pay you.

You have car so working with in a 20min drive from home goto every gas station, fast food joint, and garage or enginering shop you can find and ask about a job. One of them will have a vacancy doing anything from pumping gas, to being a bum boy fixing cars, making the tea or sweeping up swarf. All you need is the right attitude, i.e. I WANT TO WORK.

Yeah I've tried every gas station in Auckland- none have needed my help- my dad is gonig to alk to his cousin about getting me some work at his car dealership though :):) and also I'm going to talk to the guy who does the majr maintence on the Jetta- see if he needs some help- and surely there are a billion jobs out there for car groomers :)

All our clients have a different portal to get to the event tracking for their specific issues so the web page has pretty much fallen by the wayside. Its just not something a small verticle market needs. (there aren't many more then 1500 HUD agencies that could afford our software)

Wildland Firefighter


Here's one way to find out whether you qualify for work as a wildland firefighter. Stuff what you think you need for a week into a backpack, making sure it weighs at least 50 pounds. If you don't need to carry that much food, add rocks to your pack till it weighs at least that much.

Start hiking cross-country, and make sure you're going at a good clip for at least 10 hours per day on steep slopes -- and make sure you're awake for at least 20 hours per day. If you see big movable stuff, such as rocks and logs, pick them up and move them. The bigger they are and the farther and faster you move them, the more it counts. Fall down a lot, and bang yourself up on rocks and roots as often as possible. Thrash around in the brush, get good and scraped, and go without food and water as much as possible.

Practice sleeping while standing up. This is critical. Practice it enough to where you sort of get to like it.

Try to attract as many mosquitoes and yellowjackets and bees and flies and snakes as possible, and get bit by as many as you can in as many places as possible. Get as wet and muddy as possible, and get as hot and dusty and generally filthy as you possibly can. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BATHE.

Keep this up for two weeks. If you're still alive, and if you think you're having a good time, you may just make it as a wildland firefighter.

I am a full time student at California University of PA (http://www.cup.edu) for both Fall and Spring semesters. I'm also taking an online course through the school this summer.... should be interesting, and goodness knows how Tangie will be on AF simultaneously b/c she's getting DSL at home. ;)

I also work for Allegheny County in SW PA in the winters as a figure skating instructor. Good money, hours could be more, but oh well. Something I'm good at and love to do. :D Now if only I could find a way to keep my knees together long enough to do this for the rest of my life.

For the past 2 summers I've worked under a sub-contract with Allegheny County at the South Park Golf Course Restaraunt. It's really just a glorified concession stand, but the money isn't bad, and it's easy: serve beer and hot dogs to dirty old men day in and day out. But I've got news... if I work this year on my 21st birthday, someone WILL BE IN TROUBLE. :mad:
